There’s a word for something that is a model of an original that never existed, and I used to talk about it frequently in a class I had in which we discussed the ideal of the 50s nuclear family as having had that quality, but I cannot remember the term.

But I feel as though I am quickly running into it while looking for a doll that shares the same basic stripped of paint clothes and hair characteristics of Living Dead Dolls. They absolutely present the image of being molded as your basic generic everybody has one of these dress up baby dolls, and yet real life provides me with sleepy eyes and dolls that can’t stand on their own because they are meant to be infants and dolls with faces a little too baby on bodies a little too old.

I’m just looking for some dolls to do some spooky work with.
