I realized I left out a word in my reblog of a catcrumb post earlier. This message popped up when I went to edit it.

1. I made the reblog on desktop, not using the app
2. I have never used the app before
3. I’ve also never encountered this message before

Did this happen because catcrumb’s post was made on mobile? If so, have other people encountered this error message?

I get this all the time with posts made on mobile it’s 50/50 whether I can then edit them on desktop

Yep, this message is relatively new.  I haven’t used mobile Tumblr for about six years and I still see the message sporadically,  It seems to be based entirely on the original post having been made non mobile, which I guess somehow makes Tumble believe that all subsequent posts are also on mobile.  Good programming.

I switch between mobile and desktop all the time and have never seen this. Ugh, things are about to get super annoying.
