Flea dermatitis, pictures taken Saturday july 4, 2020

Poor girl has one of the worst cases of flea dermatitis I’ve ever seen. :c  See how raw and red her skin is?  That’s the result of a particularly severe allergic reaction to flea bites.  She’s also got a stripe down her back missing from overgrooming, just because she’s so itchy.  She was put on some pretty strong steroids and antibiotics. 

Same cat, pictures taken monday, july 6, 2020.   Her medication worked a LOT faster than I thought they would, ngl.  She’s already got some fresh hair growth on her neck!   No signs of any regrowth on her back, so that might be permanent.  But it’s literally only been a few days since she started, so fingers crossed we’ll see something.

She’s also feeling much better.  She’s much more approachable and interested in human interaction now. 

The drapes are up because she REALLY doesn’t like other cats.
