surely someone has altered the paint on Sunshine Family or Star Spangled Dolls besides Tiffy, John, and me?
There’s one or two in my stash that are slated for that, but I haven’t done it yet. I think I saw that someone else had done it
and so my enthusiasm for doing so waned enough that they got moved down the pecking order, haha.The two I repainted were fun to do! …but, on both of ‘em, I painted completely over those staring eye chips…
I hadn’t thought to paint totally over them, but I had definitely wanted to at least add some damn scleras and some kind of shape that didn’t look like pins stuck into plush flesh. It’s like they took two ideas for how to render the faces, took the worst possible combination of said ideas, and then produced that.
I don’t know how these were received when they came out. My mom has reported many times that they were my aunt’s favorite toys when she and my mom were kids, but I don’t know if anyone else liked them
