This is Deanna, a sweet older kitten (less than a year old!) who loves pets and people and needs dental surgery so she can comfortably enjoy the rest of her life.
Deanna comes from a colony that took over someone’s home, where she was socialized by a kind (if overwhelmed) family, but had no access to proper care. That includes care for her teeth.
Deanna has a malformed jaw, the result of which is that her baby teeth didn’t fall out properly when they were supposed to, and her adult teeth became severely impacted and her gums infected when they tried to grow in.
The trapping and homing of her colony has been led by Anthropawlogy, an incredibly small and entirely volunteer team who usually only takes on one or two cats at a time. We’ve scheduled her surgery for this upcoming Monday (March 29), but without donations that money will be coming from our personal rent money - we can’t afford to become homeless for a cat, no matter how loving and deserving she is.
Please help us pay for Deanna’s care. Please spread the word about this fundraiser. And if you’re local and interested in fostering or adopting any of the cats, please let us know!
Thank you so much for all you do.
