Footage of Drama Eyeshadow Kitty in my car helping me wait for AAA this morning.
The referenced ‘let me in your car’ of The Beautiful Onyx. In truth, I think this meeting, which was one of many in the beginning before I adopted them and before I was letting myself get attached enough to call them by a name, was the one in which I thought, “I’m going to end up with this creature.” My voice cracks in this one because I want to keep them so much.
I think a week later was when they got stuck in the neighbor guy’s shed for three days and I was so upset with worry over them I was nearly sick. The guy came over and told me the cat was in his shed but was far too dangerous for him to get out and that he was going to call the shelter. I asked him to let me try and showed up at the shed door calling the way I did for them at dinner time. Onyx was screaming and howling in the shed until they heard my voice and then the sound changed to a soft meow and they trotted right out to me. I picked them up without a scratch or a hiss, took them inside, and after that they were My Cat, fuck the police.
It’s nice to see footage and pictures from this time because I can see how much cleaner and healthier they are after having spent time with me. Though they also turned up the FLUFF after being adopted, don’t know what that’s about.
