I’m probably not the first person to post these, but the Barbie Looks dolls are now available for pre-order in Europe and, tbh, they actually look pretty nice imho and this is the direction I was hoping Barbie would take with the collector line after the fiasco that was the two BMR Waves.
I’m shocked and excited by the fact they are producing a Black MTM Ken because, to my knowledge, Mattel has only ever produced one articulated Black Ken (the cheerleader one). I think these all feature new or modified sculpts (exceptions possibly being the brunette and blonde dolls).

I hope they use the higher quality screening and don’t have polypropylene hair. I know that is a big ask with what Mattel has been producing as of late, but we can hope.
I’m getting a lot of Barbie Basics vibes from this line, which is pretty cool. I’m also glad to see the entire range of MTM bodies are being included (the blonde doll is tall and the black-haired doll is petite)

Conflicted, because I want to buy these for customizing purposes but I also love all of them enough that I’d keep them as they are…
Same lol, I really hope that the Black Ken matches the bowling alley carpet Fashionista because I will gladly get a second if so.
I also really like Asian gal’s sculpt (those lips!!!). But tbh, I like all of their sculpts… Because most of them are so pouty lol
We have our first IRL photos of two of the dolls. Though these aren’t the best photos, they don’t appear to be UV (grainy) printed. The jury is still out on inkjet (dotty) printing though.

The one on the left looks great imho, definitely a must buy!! I want to see a better view of the face for the one onthe right though.
