Vintage dolls do emotionally get to me.
Vintage dolls specifically existed to appeal to the sensibilities of a very specific group of children that no longer exist. The more time marches on, the less those dolls are considered friend shaped. It bothers me so much that dolls are considered haunted or evil looking when they only looked like that cuz they were loved so much by someone. Dolls that were there to comfort someone, ones that taught someone to love, who soaked up tears, became dirty cuz they were the only ones there for someone to hold on to.
Dolls just,,,, exist. They can not help how they look.
