I choose to believe that while Yugi is having his shonen adventure series, offscreen Rex and Weevil are simultaneously starring in their own black comedy sitcom. a card-game themed version of it’s always sunny in philadelphia, where they are bratty roommates who get into bizarre and terrible situations and never learn anything. getting their souls stolen was just like, an ordinary tuesday for them. we only see them when they happen to intersect with Yugi’s story but they’ve totally had worse.
