The new barbie rewind doll is here! And she is STUNNING, like mattel has been really falling down in the coherent and appealing design department lately but I have gotta say they really did something good with this doll, admittedly I may be giving her more credit than I normally would but it’s only because I’m so thrilled to see the steffie sculpt again!

With the keyboard, people are probably going to associate this doll’s look with Barbie & The Rockers, but she looks a lot more inspired by the 1989 Dance Club dolls to me, especially Dance Club Kayla–swap the colors, make the skirt longer and the jacket smaller, invert the earring triangles, go from red haired Diva to brunette Steffi (but keep the hair style basically the same)
