sorry if this has already been asked; how much jewelery did common people wear in ancient egypt?
I don’t think we can know for sure, since most depictions are idealised and therefore not entirely representative of them in real life. However, we find beaded bracelets/bangles and pendants/amulets are some of the most common finds. I’m not sure how the pendants/amulets would have been worn, since they may have been on a simple string, or part of a slightly more elaborate necklace i.e. with a few extra beads for decoration. Rings tended to be more elaborate as you went up the social ladder, so simple gold/silver bands with semi precious stone insets are common. Some of the simpler versions of these items are made from bone.
