I wish I had thought to include budget for fixing my printer in my plea for donations. I want to sell prints and buttons and charms and I can’t do shit hahaha
My mother found me a button maker though! I have wanted one for like 15 or 20 years I’m really excited.
I have been doing a lot of attempted self-repair on it though and and the more familiar with the inside of an Epson printer than Epson Ever Wanted its consumer base to be.
My mother got me the button maker which of course requires the printer for maximum efficiency, but because it’s a fancy printer I have also been able to use it to make prints to sell at conventions and I would really like to use it for some shrink plastic charm projects.
Its problem right now is air bubbles and clogging and other General ornery bullshit in the ink lines. And I’ve been running them through with a flush and fluid to both eliminate Bubbles and dissolve anything that might have dried in there but it just seems to be like a running in circles forever kind of situation and it’s one of those things where it’s like yeah I can technically fix this for free myself but free really means that I sit here for hours and hours and hours and don’t know that I’m actually progressing at all. It’s points like that in projects where I’m just like you know what I would rather pay for somebody else to like do it properly and save me the time.
