I just left a reply, but my perplexity merits a reblog:
Where is that Care Bear coming from?? I collected the living hell outta Care Bear stuff in the 90s, and until a month ago, I’ve never seen this symbol before?? Not even in the ~20 years I’ve been online! Shopgoodwill’s site had one a couple weeks ago, but it was yellow. First one I’d ever seen. It went for over $100. It might be a prototype, given out or sold to Kenner employees, for all I know. It’s too precise to the original wave’s construction to be a bootleg, although the ears are bigger/rounder, but if it is a bootleg, it deserves a trophy for attention to detail.
Just… why now?? Why only in the last month?? WHERE ARE THEY COMING FROM???
Okay. So. I don’t go here. I don’t fucking KNOW shit about care bears. But I DID wake up at like 6 am and scrolled through op’s blog out of boredom and saw this post and this comment and was like “yeah wtf is up with that” so naturally I spent about an hour googling shit.
