My favourite part of Jeeves and Wooster is the fact that Jeeves casually beats the shit out of people. That’s just a thing that happens sometimes. Jeeves coshed that one guy. He chased and tried to smack a kid for making fun of his appearance. This is never really questioned or explained

Jeeves’ raging and dangerous temper, which Bertie knows well enough that he genuinely thought Jeeves might have KILLED that dude and his initial thought was nothing more extensive than “oh dear” is the funniest thing in the series

It’s the natural result of having to remain stoic and polite around all the weird shenanigans his employers and their friends are up to. At some point you just have to let loose a bit.
