My favourite part of Jeeves and Wooster is the fact that Jeeves casually beats the shit out of people. That’s just a thing that happens sometimes. Jeeves coshed that one guy. He chased and tried to smack a kid for making fun of his appearance. This is never really questioned or explained

i think it’s also really interesting to point out that bertie at some point does get “OH SHIT” about how jeeves just coshes a policeman. like he literally stops and think “he could have chosen violence all those times i stand up for myself” and he’s like. oh. i barely escaped with my life.

which is kind of incredibly funny to me because it happens in the latest books after Jeeves got all his character development and He Would Never. Like he would cosh anyone if it helps Bertie/Bertie’s wishes but he is devoted to Bertie forever at this point.

this still remains the only time bertie is bothered by jeeves committing violence or drugging people. otherwise jeeves can no wrong so he’s just like “wow jeeves is so cool”.
