I would probably call and threaten and/or bribe every internet provider in your state, at that point. Sheesh what a nightmare, especially considering it’s ‘necessary to life’ at this point (job-hunting, employers being mostly online these days). :/

My mother has been considering getting very angry about it lately.  She’s been talking a lot about all the ‘neighbors’ have cable, and she’s thinking she’d like to raise some hell about the casual 'no we can’t do that’ she was given.

There was a law passed recently in the state actually, that mandated access to reliable broadband connections for even rural areas by a certain deadline, but I think since we’re 'technically’ covered by a spotty Verizon 4G tower, we will not be getting the cable access like we thought.

My brother and step-dad are conspiring ways to get us a 4G connection, but I worry that it will be just as capped and limited as as the satellite is now.

Here’s hoping that soon I won’t even need to worry about what kind of internet my parents have!
