Hey also, FYI!

I saw Maleficent today with my mom and my aunt and was stunned that it was SO MUCH better than I was even expecting??  I thought I would enjoy it because I love stories like this that make you root for the ‘villain’, I don’t even care if it’s cheesy at this point, but I enjoyed this like 100 times more than I thought I would. At not a single point was I groaning or bored or waiting for something to happen.  SO, if you were expecting to have to sit through something like 'A man causes all this pain and is the only reason she’s a badass and then a man/a sexist trope fixes it allll’, worry the fuck not.   Seriously, the men are props in this movie.  I was so overwhelmed by just how relaxed I was all through it because so one was being sexually harassed or 'redeemed’ into something demure and docile. 

If you were side-eyeing it for any kind of Bechdel test-ish reasons, go forth in comfort my friends.
