It has come to my attention that my new teacup has stolen art on it.

I can assure you all, this was not at all what I intended to happen. When I commissioned the people who created it, I sent them in the direction of the tag, for character facial refs, and told them about a few poses that I thought would look cute on the cup. I did not, in any way, ask them to copy or reproduce anything.

I received no WIPs while the cup was being made, and when it arrived this morning, I had long since left the fandom and did not immediately recognize the art that was on it. 

I am truly sorry for the grief this has caused in the fandom, and for the artist whose work was copied. I am, as of yet, unsure where communication with the artists deteriorated, or what exactly happened here, but I will definitely be asking about it.

As an edit to this post, I will mention (though I don’t know if it helps any) that the cup was a prize that I won in a giveaway, and the artists who made the cup made no profit from it.
