For you, and anyone else interested, the crackling wick soy candles are called ‘EcoWix’ and you can buy them in strange locations like here and here online.  My mom found mine in a TJMaxx, and other people are reporting that they’re in some Kroger and Safeway stores, and Lowe’s of all places.  

The scent in mine is really nice, not overpowering, but not so subtle that there’s no reason to burn the thing. No idea what scent it is, but it’s a kind of peachy color.  I don’t think I see it online anywhere.   Plus it sounds like a campfire in my bedroom without me needing to burn my bed to the ground.

There’s also apparently this brand, Woodwick candles that reportedly do the same thing, and they appear to be still going? EcoWix seems like it doesn’t really exist now anymore except for strange discount stores and stuff. GIven the shape of the jar, they have just merged or something.
