I wondered if I my brother had heard about the diabetes thing, since he’s had it since he was 11. I emailed him and he said, “Yeah, funny story. Two days ago, I emailed the guy at Harvard behind this whole thing and volunteered for human testing whenever they get around to that point.  Probably a long shot.  Going to send him a message from my school account too, in case that makes me look more credible.”

He lost the genetic lottery hardcore, so he’s got diabetes and celiac disease, and having the celiac might not make him a good trial candidate, but I feel like he’d really love to be part of it.
