So it’s come to my attention that there’s a large number of people on Tumblr that weren’t able to go to any conventions this year do to lack of funds or other life things getting in the way. (Myself included.) So I thought- if tumblr can do DashCon, I can make my own convention!
I’m thinking about hosting an online (star trek) con:
A site where we’ll have
Costume contests/Masquerade: a place to post selfies of you in cosplay.
Artist Ally: post your art/fanart, do art trades and take commissions.
Viewing Rooms: A place where you can watch videos/clips and have discussions with fellow fans.
Concerts: Listen to Fandom playlists.
Panels: A place to meet fellow role players.
Special guests: Not totally sure who our special guest is going to be, but if I get enough people in on it, I’m sure we can convince someone, if nothing else I’ll reblog all of georgetakei’s stuff or make a page full of pictures of Wil Wheaton and Chris Pine, for you to ogle.
Book Club: A place to post and read fanfics.
Giveaways and Contests: Speaks for itself.
