Here is the new little clone gal! I don’t know who she is but she’s so charming, I really love her!

A friend went to an estate sale and got these for me, along with two black Mattel girls with the Spanish face. I thought the highly alarmed looking blonde was really funny, like a Melinda turned up a few notches, and the side glance sweater situation on the other one was really appealing in general. She’ll look nice washed off and brushed. I’m weak against side glance, always, haha

It is nice that my friends and family think of me when looking in thrift store kind of places and scope out the doll situation for me, especially because I can’t really walk anywhere anymore.

(I told the physical therapist yesterday that I didn’t need to be an athlete, I just wanted to go thrift shopping with my friends and my mom and go to cemeteries. The first things that came to mind were just “let me go look at old things”.)

Just some photos. My original release Lagoona is wearing some other fashion under her original hoodie at the moment so it isn’t a direct comparison, but the stuff I kind of care most about is present (or not) regardless of fashion.

I miss the webbed fingers immensely. Also the more fish aspects of the face in general. I don’t like sporty fashion at all but I chose Lagoona as my very first Monster High doll back in 2010 because I really love aquatic creatures. Her webbed fingers and ears and legs and her buggy eyes were all selling points. I love the more prominent ears on all the new dolls.

My original release Draculaura is wearing my favorite fashion pack instead of her original outfit right now also, haha, so more not direct one to one, but just neat to look at.

I’m absurdly in love with the new Draculaura doll, she feels full of personality. I felt bad that she was my favorite and not Lagoona since I didn’t really care for Draculaura in the original line and Lagoona was my first and the one I bought fashions and such for. Not as enamored with the new Lagoona but I do really like her. Even though both of these dolls were purchased in a deep pit of despair and thus with little consideration for other factors, I still can’t afford to buy dolls that I don’t have every reason to think I will enjoy haha.

Anyway, I’m enjoying and excited about these. I want to get Ghoulia and the Frankie and Deuce two pack. I’m looking forward to doing some custom alterations to Lagoona.
