I can’t find any clothes that fit her and almost dressed her in a tissue for this, but here’s Beautiful Hair Ariel (…hairiel) recovered from her thrift store life!

Did some blue/red duochrome over teal for Lagoona’s ear and arm fins. Also little teeth and some goofing off with scales.
Want to share what I did with the vintage Christie!
I would really love to give her some kind of medieval lady circlet or do something with gold or pearls in her hair, but the colors make me smile regardless. Another doll was wearing this dress but the mint color really made me feel like it belonged to this one.
It will not let me post this this is like the fourth time I’m trying which means that all of the charm and interest from the first version of this post is gone. Here is vintage Christie with some really cool gradient yarn that I was gifted that matched her lips and felt inspiring.
I happened to have some vintage hair saved in my stash that is a pretty close match that I’m gonna use to fill the sliced rows of hair on this doll. Bubblecuts are so coarse, I was worried about finding fun colored hair that I could convincingly blend in. I also did not know what I was going to do with so little hair but it also felt like it was too much to throw away, so this is a good solution.
Still wanna tuck some fun color in there though. Like a curl of coral or something, but less than filling all the spots that have been hacked off so it looks a little more integrated.
Someone had glued her whole torso together and I was like dude she had one joint like why would you rob her of her only opportunity to look less stiff.
The knob on the bottom half had broken at some point apparently and they just solved it by gluing the whole thing. It’s not like a pretty or elegant joint but if it will let her turn a little bit I would like to get it moving again.
I hope I can give her some Mobility because at press time I don’t know how to get the top of her torso back on without everything going crunch again now that I’ve glued the knob back down
That body is so horrible, I hope we can someday find good body donors for those Jet Setters heads, and I definitely hope you can fix this doll in the meantime
She survived and has regained motion! Is this a pretty joint? No. But until the future when we find suitable body donation, she can move as much as she was supposed to.
Now to see what I have lying around that she can wear… The dress and shirt she was sent in are slightly too big (dress) and birthday party ruffle floral (shirt), so she needs an alternative.
