Her!
I spent this morning giving Ladybug new hands and carving some plastic from around her joints to let her move more after Cat Noir got the same treatment last night. Cat Noir also got the wrist guard-y glove bits on his wrists that balance out his boots nicely. He was looking lacking without them, so I found some leather scrap from my stash and hooked him up.
The original colors of their donor hands keep poking through on the joint, and I think I might try to take off more material at their elbows to get more movement, but I’m overall so much happier with them!
Repainted Cat Noir, the proud owner of the last available doll stand in my apartment.
His articulation is frustrating, but he’s such a cute little dude. That that tiny bell actually jingles cracks me up.
I included a before picture of him in the plastic - I waa so excited to start i didn’t take any out of the package before I started taking his face off!
The project I was looking forward to doing so much tonight was Miraculous Ladybug! The first image is ‘before’, and everything else is how she looks now. I got some photos of her with/in front of the ‘magical girl’ section of one of my shelves, which is hopefully where she’ll live eventually.
She’s not totally done - I want to get her some elastic to wear her compact around her waist and ribbons for her hair (long ones like the original design!) - but the hardest part is done and I wanted to share.
The empty gaze, too long hair, and lack of character-critical earrings finally just irked me for too long and I snapped and had to do this!
For people who don’t know, here is Ladybug as she appears in her show:

Definitely going to address the Cat Noir doll too…
