So I started a project last night and continued it today while work was slow. I have another layer of blue to do before I add the lettering. Last pic above the cut is the second layer of blue.

In some level of actual answering, reSWAN Johnny is particularly uncomfortable with a lot of skin showing and he’s handy with cobbling together shirts out of garbage fabric, so yeah, he’s fond of layers AND has just sewn layers onto things to cover more skin. Having a body is weird and uncomfortable and he’d rather not, but since he has to, he wraps it in thrift store.

I appreciate the coat also on a character level - I always imagine Edgar and Tenna to be the most likely to dress for practical comfort and for them to look the most comfortable to approach if you were able to see them. Edgar just being a guy with glasses and a coat makes him look the least threatening of the bunch, haha.
i need to find more excuses to put eyemakeup on him though because as thoroughly demonstrated here and elsewhere, it’s a Good Look for him, haha
I had gotten a color palette specifically for Homicides reasons and I tried it on Tenna first. I really like doing her, because I have a few other clothing combos I think she would wear and I like looking like a mess of color.
I tried getting a candid picture, since you seem to like those! I also got two pictures of the makeup without much adjusting. I found the rose hoop earrings at the park a few weeks ago, and I got the top from a friend, so this look is a mix and match ^^’

Of course. I can’t NOT mention the thing I plowed through in three days and then was left a souless husk after. (I should also mention that I first got into SWAN around the last few chapters of its original run. The Lo Mein in Bed Trauma chapters to be specific, and followed ISH the whole while after. So reSWAN was like… equal parts existential despair, unabashed DELIGHT, and so much nostalgia. So, so much.)
I track your reISH updates and every time I see them I’m just like… “Lady’s gonna devastate me all over again, but this time in fun, new, much more complicated ways! :D” Which, really, is all part of the draw.
I’mma preserve these tags because ‘unholy levels of Chaotic Bastard’ has me smiling so hard my face hurts

I’ve been a little sparse on the updating since I’m doing the drawing for October nonsense, but I’m determined to make this sonofabitch, and devastation in fun new complicated ways is, like, exactly what we’re aiming for.
A friend of mine is painting windows at a store for Halloween and is using the colours from @ladyyatexel ‘s reSWAN fic and he went to put away the paints for the day.
And me being an waking blasphemy said “You know, that seems accurate. Nny would definitely be in between Edgar and Devi.”
My friend straight up walked away from me shaking their head as I called out “You know I’m right!”
A moment later I made it worse by saying “To be fair, its also right because Devi would absolutely be on top,” while my friend proceeded to bury his face in the counter while confirming it.

I always have so much fun when their colors come up in the wild and they look like they are conveying a dynamic. I’m glad I’m not the only one who plays some version of this game.

It delights me to know that there are Homicides stars on a store window somewhere and I didn’t put them there!
