The plastic came right off probably due to a swell combination of age and Heat, which was cool and meant that I didn’t have to have a moment of reconsideration or anything.

I think there are very few things that are as incredibly strong feeling images from that time as all of the Sailor Moon toys being marketed in this deep blue with that logo. I had a t-shirt that was just a blue diamond with this graphic on it and I’ve always loved the way it looks. Seeing that blue in the dolls and toys aisles made me feel like there was hope for the show that I liked and no one else had heard of and it always got me so excited for the potential that if I just bought more things or cared about it a little harder that they would release more!

The version of the set that I had as a kid was of lesser quality to be totally honest! It looked nearly identical from the angle you get in the package but the bristles on the brush just kind of slid on and off the vaguely brush shaped base and were not really even strong enough to go through my cat’s hair let alone mine. The molded Sailor Moon face piece that was glued on to the top fell off very easily at some point, which satisfied my deep curiosity as to how much of the pigtails they had printed underneath - the buns were there too - but then left me with an item that I really couldn’t use or justify in any kind of way, because I was a kid and nobody cared about the stuff that was important to me. So that I wanted to repair something or keep it for sentimental or collector reasons was not something that anybody took seriously.

Anyway, now that I’ve managed to find the Princess Jasmine version of the perfume I’m kind of happy that this stuff smells a little different and I’m considering how I am going to display this I guess!

I’m absolutely more of a dolls, figures, plush and prints kind of person and not really a miscellaneous licensed merchandise sort, but this represents a couple important stops on a journey or two so I’m happy to have it around.

I was involved in Sakura Exchange last month, and creators were revealed today, so I can post this! This was actually a pinch hit, but man, I was glad to draw baby’s first lesbians.

Been wondering where the doll sized Sailor Moon duffle bag had gone. It’s a keychain I got when I was a kid. Still has the ring to attach it to your keys and the logo price tag. Both have been tucked away in the back for your viewing convenience.

@cosmomoore was looking for my sailor moon art, apparently! This is the stuff from this decade, haha. It gets more numerous when it gets older, but also, you know, worse.

This SeraMyu version of Uranus and Neptune is from 2007 and is doing many things I wish it weren’t. But there you go, haha.

Sailor Mercury is finally out of to do list purgatory! She has been blank since her ink was successfully sun faded for what feels like millennia, but now she’ll finally be able to join the rest of the team.

I took some pictures of her with Venus just because Venus is the only other one with a successful new face. Though every time I see photos of new doll paints, I see problems I couldn’t in real life. Oh well, still easily adjustable if I want.

I got together all the dolls and toys that needed to have their hair re dyed pink the other day. As it turns out I am less than confident that I have the correct kind of dye, so now this is the situation on the 90s anime girls with weapons shelf.
