DS9 things to buy, well then, it’s time for Places I Have Scoured To Buy Nerdy Shit!
So, somewhat obviously, I’ve got my shops on Society6 and Redbubble, which means many others do too, and searching through those sites for ‘deep space nine’ or variations upon may yield some good.
CafePress.com also offers some things, but they spectrum of quality on the designs is incredibly vast. Mostly, it’s their Niners baseball stuff that’s cute, the rest is like someone had Microsoft Word and four pieces of Trek-related clipart, but you may find a gem.
Star Trek.com does in fact carry DS9 merch, but they make it very hard to find it. You can do a search for ‘deep space nine’ in their shop and get a few items and then literally dig around in ‘related items’, because there is nothing to access in the ‘shop by series’ drop downs but TOS and TNG, because Paramount hates anyone who liked any Star Trek after 1993.
Here is their Terok Nor shirt, they also have a Quark’s shirt, posters, dvds, and a fucking DS9 frisbee???
Our tumblr friend @aubergdesigns sells DS9 and Obsidan Order necklaces in her etsy shop.
Etsy also gives us DS9 magnetic poetry fridge magnets among many other Etsy-typical things.
welovefine.com is trying to have DS9 things, but it’s slim pickin’s so far.
Another fun option is searching Amazon for random shit.
I recommend this book, it is full of great fun and neat details and will be enjoyed if you have someone like me who just wants to devour shit like ‘why we chose this shape for this alien species’.
Also grand is this ‘Making Of’ which can be had for a penny as of this writing.
You’ll also find shirts, soundtracks, posters, hallmark ornaments, model kits, action figures and other random toys. Amazon is like eBay without the stress of bidding, really.
I hope that’s a good start! There are a few other places that just do generic Trek, but I tried to keep it to specifically Deep Space Nine.
