Honestly more restaurants need charts like this - specifically the comparisons to other spice things. I was once warning a neighbour to be careful with the habanero relish, so he asked me “how spicy is it, 1-10?”, without giving me a calibration for his scale. Turns out he considered Frank’s Red Hot to be a 7, so I told him to skip the relish. Imagine what would have happened if I’d given an honest “maybe 6 or 7″ for the relish without checking.
